39In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, 40 and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,

What appeared to be an ordinary meeting with a familiar friend transcended the ordinary into the extraordinary!. ‘Ordinary Mary’ was carrying in her womb one capable of propelling others into their next dimension in destiny. This is a model of how the ‘normal’ Christian life should be. A people who appear ordinary on the outward but who are actually catalysts that can propel men and keep propelling men into their next dimension in God through the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
Were there are no supernatural encounters on ‘normal weekdays’ but rather the regular situation is one where we all wait until Sunday service before we can become “spiritually energized” already spells trouble!. It is the pool of Bethesda which is stagnant that is surrounded by “a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.” John 5:3. It means we have varying degrees of impotence in our spiritual lives and also in our congregations.
Like Mary there must be at least one person in your life whom you regularly trigger upward in the things of the Spirit. Likewise like Elisabeth, you should have at least one person (other than your pastor) from whom you also receive upward inspiration into higher dimensions of revelation and power.
Mary wasn’t exceptional purely because she was predestined to be the mother of Jesus. The prophecies of old never actually mentioned it was to be a woman named Mary. Rather she was the certain woman who factored herself into divine agenda after Gabriel presented God’s offer by yielding herself unto the deliberate dealings from the Holy Spirit until she became a worthy channel through whom the Spirit of God could freely pass in order to energize others.
And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; Luke 1:39
Arising like Mary…
Mathew 22:14 Jesus states clearly that ‘For many are called, But few are chosen“. Between the call and the choice there are seasons of processing! Many men have tried to arise over the years, but because of lack of – or incomplete formation, they have laid waste to the prospects and projects of God in the lives of men. Mary was not like this. Mary Arose! It was a sure and definite rising which produced God’s targeted end result in the life of those she was sent to.
Mary like all men had a womb! Not the womb in the physical sense of womanhood but in the sense of the God given inherent ability to conceive + incubate + birth the divine purposes/burdens of God! She succeeded because she was able to go beyond the checkpoints on the faith journey!
Mary crossed Checkpoint 1: The Ability to Conceive
- Many men have wombs, but are unable to capture the divine life/destiny/burden released by God. Some because they are busy pursuing after the Onan’s of life who only know how to “spill it to the ground” [of self, selfish ambition, fame and the empire spirit] when their time would be better spent engaging the divine priesthood.
- Mary was not like this. She eschewed self. She laid herself down as the divine handmaiden of the Lord and maintained a posture of “let it be unto me according to thy word” Luke 1:38
- Surrendering unto the Lordship of Jesus Christ not just His salvation enables us to have a conducive womb which can receive the life of the word @seed level. This posture enables a believer graduate from Matt 11:28 to become a Mathew 11:29 believer.
Mary crossed Checkpoint 2: The Ability to Incubate
- Conceiving of the seed life in the word of God is only the first step. The believers womb must be compatible for growth and formation. This happens through total yieldedness to the formative hands of the Lord. Not dwelling too long in rebellious struggle of wills that often jeopardize and abort the divine burdens in its early stages of formation. The longer we resist the yoke of the Lord as in Matt 11:29, the longer the time required for the life of God in us to germinate. And if we wait too long we risk miscarriage!! The effect of which would mean stagnating at the Mathew 11:28 stage of Christianity till our time on earth expires..
Modern Christianity which too often caters to self rather than carrying the cross has produced masses of believers still stranded in the Mathew 11:28 checkpoint of life. - Mary’s womb became a divine incubator! It did not kill the child within but nurtured it. It facilitated the perfect environment for the divine seed to germinate, take root downward, and bear fruit upwards. Isaiah 37:31.
- Mary energized Elisabeth upward. But it also important to note that the opposite is just as common, there are many men who through the salutations of their mouths actually choke and suffocate the divine life/hope/destiny within us. These men instead of being fire propellants are fire extinguishers. They are Fathers, Mothers, Husbands, Wives, Teachers, Bosses at work. We must not only guard our hearts against these, we must also NOT yield ourselves to become these instruments of satan unknowingly. Just like Peter did for a brief moment in Mathew 16:23
Mary crossed Checkpoint 3: The Ability to Bring Forth Manifestly!
- Having conceived there is always the risk that during the trimester stages of the development process, other things are introduced into the womb which begin to compete for the true word of God, our peace, our hope, and our revelation, whilst also drawing us away towards external temptations and defilements which oppose that life of God in us.
- “And while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and he left. Matt 11:25“
- Mary scaled through because she consecrated her womb: making it the exclusive preserve of the divine life in her!. The one thing that can sabotage the divine foetus in us is when we lease space in our wombs for shared tenancy between the seed of God and the seeds of evil. Meaning we give chance for certain things to take root in us like: Bitterness, Malice, Unforgiveness, unbelief.
- Mary was successful in getting past this checkpoint because she was diligent in ensuring the consecration of her womb. She gave no room to the enemy to sow his tares which snuff out the divine life within.
Conclusion..
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4
God is Life! His life is energetic, refreshing, animating, invigorating and much more! Every interaction and engagement with Him switches the light of men on! He triggers!
When I was a faithful catholic we venerated Mary into godlike status. But actually Mary stands as an example from a prophetic standpoint of what we not only can be but also what our active Christian lives ought to be producing regularly. For Life begets Life!
Mary in our study brought an aspect of the operations of God to bear upon the life of Elisabeth.
She was able to do walk in this because in her womb:-The word met Obedience in a wholly yielded posture which met Holiness which was maintained in a consecrated lifestyle working by faith.
Yieldedness + Obedience + Holiness + Consecration + Faith + The Word = An Impactful Womb!
What are you bearing in your womb? Does it propel men upward in the dimensions of God giving them life? or deflate them, bringing them down to their belies?
May the Holy Spirit bring us into clearer understanding of this matter in Jesus name.
Yes obedience ways bring a blessing that can never be sized for ever we bless God above all things
