Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 8:12 KJV.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,

  • Lord Jesus. This season speak to me again. Let there be continuity in intimacy and dialogue between you and me.
  • If by chance my channels of hearing have been blocked/hindered. Lord heal all my channels of communication with you and re-tune my heart to your voice!
  • I am your sheep and your word says ‘My sheep hear my voice and they follow‘ John 10:27. I long for your voice, I thirst for your words of Life. Holy Spirit quicken me in all my receptacles for clearer reception from Christ.

I am the light of the world:

  • Father of Lights: Eccl 2:13b makes it clear that “…light is better than darkness“.
  • I agree with your word. And to this end I choose your light over every darkness!
  • Psalm 97:11 says “Light is sown like seed for the righteous“. Light of the world, cause every seed of your life sown in me to germinate and produce ‘greater light’ that brings more glory to your name and your kingdom.
  • 1 Tim 6:16 describes you as “dwelling in unapproachable light“. Heavenly Father cloak me in your light. Let it flow from my speech, let it pervade my deeds. Let it illuminate my thinking. Let it shine on my path. Let it be the currency of my relationships. Let it give light to others around me. In short – Let me be as you are in this world 1 John 4:17.
  • Light of the World. We understand (by the principle of first mentions) from Gen 1:3 that Light is always one of your first building blocs in every move of recovery, restoration and establishment. Lord Jesus visit your light upon my heart and my emotions and the key milestones in my life. Any where shades of darkness from betrayals, offences, and disappointments still find expression in me..Lord purge it with the Light of Life and sow gladness in its place in Jesus name.

he that followeth me

  • Lord before my feet will go astray, my eyes and my heart would have gone first! Today I lay my soul on your altar for refining & cleansing. Purge from me ever tendency and inclination towards rebellion and desertion in my followership of you.
  • Dear Beloved Shepherd: lead me not into temptation this season. Deliver me from every temptation and perversions [both within and without] warring with my following.
  • Recalibrate the compass of my soul toward you and set my eyes on you Lord.
  • IF I have already deviated in following you. Lord mercifully recover-restore and re-establish me on your narrow path of life!
  • Just as in Ruth 1:14-17 Lord..instill in me the heart that “cleaves” unto you like Ruth to Naomi. Birth in me the Focus of Elisha in following Elijah. Ignite in me and my seed the integrity of the Rechabites in followership Jer 35:6-19

shall not walk in darkness

  • Light of the World. I thank you for this guarantee. I agree that I shall not walk in any form OR shade of darkness this season. I choose to Arise, Shine as Isa 60 instructs to show forth the glory of God risen upon me.
  • I raise a voice of intercession for bro. xxxxx and petition your throne that by the same mercy with which you foreknew me and called me out of darkness into your marvelous light; this season call brother xxxxxxz out of every shade, shadow and form of darkness. Cause your light to deliver him/her from the grips of death and hell. From the tendrils of the grave. From bitterness. From sickness and bondage. Over this person Lord I ask ‘Let there be Light’
  • Light of the World. Every habitation of cruelty in this nation as described in Psalm 74:20, Let your piercing light breakthrough upon them now!!!!
    – By the breakthrough of your light, Command children and women being held in child trafficking rings to be loosed now!
    – Command people being held in kidnappers dens to be loosed this moment now!
    – Command youths under demonic oppression of sexual molestation to be loosed now!
    – Command innocent people in Jails across this nation to be loosed now!

But shall have the light of life.

  • Lord thank you for your goodness! For all that you bequeath lovingly and lavishly upon your people.
  • I confess and receive the Light of Life this season into my ministry. Into my enterprise. Into my marriage. Into my Home. Into my children. Into my family lineage. Into my community
  • Help me be such a light that needs not be hid under a bushel BUT set on a hill to give light unto the city! May your light so shine forth through me that men will be drawn to you and glorify your name forevermore.
