Drawing out Virtue with Keys….

“And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me”.

Luke 8:46 KJV

Many throng Jesus, dance around him, serve as His protocol officers and still miss it! Jesus was NOT meant to be thronged; He was made to be touched! ^{1 John 1:1} He is the Bread of Life who must be eaten ^{john 6:53} and digested, And He is the truth whom our hands have to handle!. Only few ever truly touched Him the way God intended in all the years of His ministry – The woman with the issue of blood was one of them!

To touch Jesus is to open the door to unsearchable inexhaustible riches of God. He is The Door to the sheep ^{John 10:7} which isn’t opened by sentiment or emotions or logic But by specific divine principles!
This woman:-
(i) queued in behind Jesus
(ii) touched him in the right place
(iii) and touched him the right way.
The result was that VIRTUE was DRAWN right out of Him to the extent that He himself was surprised! It was simply a matter of having the right keys and using it.

Jesus promised that “out of your bellies shall flow rivers of living waters!” In my short few years in field outreaches and close discipleship i have come to discover that the rivers of living waters don’t just flow out endlessly and spill everywhere [remember the pearls of God aren’t cast to swine] rather they are ‘teased out’ or ‘drawn out’ rather like milk from breast. The key here is that ‘pressure must be applied“

In large gatherings Desire/Hunger + Faith + preparedness of the people (circumcision of hearts ^{Deut 10:16}) is that pressure. The more intense that is the more the flow of the anointing.

When it pertains to 1on1 and long term interactions with the Shepherd, the keys for opening the door are quite different and vary broadly:- Here are a few examples

Between Isaac & Jacob the key to draw virtue out was the Venison. Gen 27:7
Between Elisha & Jehoshaphat it was playing The Minstrel. 2 Kings 3:15
Between Deborah & Barak it was provoked by shared burden for Israel. Judges 5:12
Between Jesus & Zacchaeus it was intense longing for Christ. Luke 19:5
Between Jesus & The Woman with the issue of blood it was Faith. Luke 8:46
Between Jesus & The Centurion it was Faith anchored on revelation. Mathew 8:10

Peter followed Jesus for sometime..but not until He received that revelation ‘Thou art the Christ’ the true virtue that confers advantage did not flow to Him

What is your dynamic between you and those God has placed over you?
In all the years you have been around them How much have you tapped into?
If he is anointed in power…to what degree do you now flow in power?
If she is a prophet/oracle of God – how much do you now also prophecy?
If He teaches with Revelation and Power..How much of this has rubbed off on you?
Or are you merely content to be called spiritual son/daughter if so and so but no Power to show for it?

Assumption is the first wrong turn!

• Your shepherd liking you IS NOT the issue! That way leads to eye-service + frustration
• The real door is not controlled by sentiment But by the Holy Spirit of God
• The Holy Spirit doesnt need the permission of the Pastor but responds to the divine principles.
• Close identification with a denomination/church/movement by putting their stickers on your doors and cars, wearing their uniforms, buying the handkerchies and living and breathing their ‘culture’ will not also cause the door to the hidden virtue to open to your benefit.
• If there is any true virtue buried in that mission: you must discover it and key it in

Over Familiarity is the 2nd wrong Turn!

• Being married to the pastor, bearing Pastor (Mrs) and sitting on the Altar does not also unlock the door of virtue in your husband unto your personal benefit. You have to pay the price and apply the keys – sometimes without your Husbands knowledge (as u would need to honor that gifting in Him separate from the person of your Husband). Sarah calling Abraham Lord was from her heart and her personal key to unlocking the virtue to flow. She understood that Abraham the man might need help by way of offering Hagar///But Abraham the priest and prophet required Honor!
• We have taught about the Widow of the Sons of prophet who had two sons who went to Elisha. Yet she had a failing. All the time her husband was alive – she never triggered the anointing by playing the minstrel or using His unique keys. She waited until He was dead b4 she could get from Elisha what she could also have tapped into by the same spirit from her Husband whilst He was yet alive!.

Not all about money and gifts!

• Sadly a deeply spiritual process has been trivialized to donations and giftings to the shepherds!
• Money and donations are good when given with the right motives!
• Sacrifice is greater than money..but it can Include money! The key is what is the heart behind it?
• When you check how many occasions Jesus and the prophets released great virtue of great worth upon men – what proportion of those times where based on fiduciary considerations?

Ultimately

We have prophetically come into the 3rd day. There will be increasingly greater outpourings of the Spirit and His virtue on the people of God. It is a time to take stock, deeply meditate and seek direction from the Holy Spirit on what specific keys to apply.

Missing the outpouring IS NOT AN OPTION! Remaining as you are IS NOT AN OPTION!

Yes the Canaanite woman whose daughter was vexed with the devil in Mathew 15 answered correctly that dogs do eat of the crumbs from the masters table. She added faith + persistence and virtue flowed to Her daughter. But there was more. She settled for crumbs when an opportunity to sit at the table in sonship was there for the taking!

There’s more for you in Christ and in those whom God has given to you. Don’t settle for less.. Press on to the ultimate!
