Discipleship Intercessory guide for covering our children as they return to school.

Declaratory Prayers

  • We declare in Jesus name that our children shall continue to remain children of praise & good report. Dan 1:6 That the love of the LORD shall continually restrain them from defiling themselves. Dan 1:8 That the world system shall neither rename nor repurpose them. Dan 1:7
  • We declare in Jesus name that our children who are the heritage of the LORD shall remain without blemish. Dan 1:4 We immunize them by the blood of Jesus from the forces (Spiritual, Political, Social) that seek to mar their development & stain them.
  • We declare in Jesus name a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of Excellence upon them to distinguish them; Gen 41:38 To cause them to be of quick understanding and skillful in all wisdom and cunning in all knowledge. Daniel 1:4
  • In Jesus name we cause them to daily sit at the table of the King of Kings Matt 15:26 and declare that they shall receive their daily portion of Mercy, Grace, & Strength Dan 1:5 occasioned by the steadfast love of God. Lam 3:22-23
  • We declare in Jesus name that the end of their training & education they shall stand as Kings before Kings having all capacity to thrive even in the hostile environment of life as Joseph thrived in Egypt & Daniel thrived in Babylon & Medo-Persia.

Intercessory Prayers

  • We pray for our teachers and administrators running our schools. In Jesus name they shall be filled with the Wisdom and Understanding of the Lord. They shall have a mind to work Neh 4:6. The Lord shall grant them discernment and empathy required to divinely guide and equip their young charges. They shall know the sweet joys of reward in faithfully serving the will of God in raising a generation unto Him.

  • We raise a voice of intercession for the children who are experiencing various forms and levels of trauma & captivity 2 Chron 28:8 because of tragedies: family issues: societal failures. We ask for the mercy and favour of the Lord to visit healing, restoration and establishment upon their souls and their prospects.

  • We raise a voice of enablement for the Jehosheba’s 2 Ki 11:2 in the land who have been called into children’s ministry spiritually/politically/socially. May they receive strength and enablement from the throne of God to excel in their callings to preserve, groom, and create an enabling environment for children in the land to thrive.

  • Heavenly Father we ask for a fresh dose of the Fear of the LORD to come upon our government officials at all levels. Let the wheels of government begin to turn in favor of all out of school, internally displaced and underprivileged children in Jesus name.

  • Prophetically we set the blood of Jesus as a boundary over the lives of all children this season. The operations of diverse wickedness, divination and enchantment shall not cross over and find any expression in their lives and the rod of the wicked shall in no wise rest upon them..
