Jan Week 3 Discipleship Intercession

Harvest of Light: Gen 1:1-4, John 1:1-4, Psa 97:11.

Heavenly Father thank you for the seed of light you have sown for us in Christ Jesus the word John 1:1-4. You are indeed the omniscient God who has made provision in every outcome even before the world was framed.

We rejoice today in you for all that you have already done and for your graciousness toward us. Your name be forever exalted!

Prayer 1: Personal Application

  • Today in keeping with your example in Gen 1:2-3. I speak to the field of my life and i call forth light to germinate, shinning out in any prevailing situation of darkness 2 cor 4:6 as touching my calling, my marital life, my economy, and my family.
  • Let all my pathways be illuminated! sprouting forth with revelation, hope, inspiration and direction! For the path of the righteous shines from brighter to brighter until the perfect day.Prov 4:18
  • Conversely every manifestation of darkness resulting from the seeds of the enemy sown in my seasons of sleep/slumber matt 13:25 – Be dispelled now! :’for the light shines in darkness and the darkness comprehends it not’. John 1:5

Prayer 2: Ministry Application

  • Lord Jesus, This season may every of our labour’s in the kingdom vineyard shall be enveloped in light! Our preaching, teaching, counselling, healings, deliverance, & interactions shall be as seeds of light sown in good soil which lightens the souls of men.
  • Lord Jesus, Let not the light of your gospel be veiled to those whom you bring our way this season; but let the glorious light of the gospel of Christ shine upon them 2 Cor 4:3. For your light is indeed sweet Eccl 11:7 may it drip from our lips as honey – illuminating the glory of God in the face of Christ.
  • Lord Jesus, Let our sight, speech, hearing, & discerning channels be bathed with light. Grant us grace to maintain a high level of concentration that we may showcase your light with minimal veiling.

Prayer 3: Community Application

  • We pray our brethren who are still waiting to conceive; waiting to deliver successfully; waiting for their life partner. We say may their hope no longer suffer deferment prov 13:12 instead may they harvest overflowing Joy & gladness to the praise and glory of your name.
  • We pray for the nation, that the Joseph’s. Esther’s, Daniel’s whom you have sown in the seats of governance for such a season as this begin to spring forth at local/state/national level. May you usher them into the limelight and illuminate their paths with wisdom.
  • We pray for our children whose light is veiled by Autism and Down-Syndrome. Let your light establish new neural pathways in their brains and in your mercy visit miraculous healing upon them in this season.

May we all experience and harvest the joy and gladness you have sown in our hearts through your Son Jesus our Lord.
