Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 1 Cor 3:13

Audio Transcripts:
Christ’s recommendation for us is that we build our lives on the Rock not on the sand. Men all too often build with assumptions; compromise; selfish ambition; and with the wisdom of the world.
In His mercy God permits & sometimes initiates ‘shakings’ designed to quality test (stretch, bend, & shake) the foundations of our house/lives in order that we may:
- Wake up to the truth of what/who we are anchoring our lives on.
- Wake up to discern/appreciate the authenticity of our faith.
- Wake up to the need for re-alignment.
all with the purpose of giving us the opportunity to make corrections where necessary.
In building our house on the Rock, we seek to build what is generational and eternal and to do this, scriptures encourage us to:
- Build according to the divine blueprint Exo 25:40, Heb 10:7
- Build with the right materials. Isa 60:17. 1 Cor 3:12.
- Build with the right people. Neh 2:20 Gen 14:23
- Build with the right mindset. 1 Cor 3:10-11, 1 Chron 29:14
When we experience recurrent collapse in any area of our lives, we should not miss the opportunity (even in the pain) to come to God (the architect) in humility and let Him shed light for us on corrective steps to a more lasting approach.
Grace and Mercy to all.
